Master Your Budget
1. Set Your Gambling Budget
Before playing, determine an amount you can afford to lose without impacting your essential expenses like rent, food, utilities, and savings. This should be disposable income only. For Indonesian players, a common guideline is allocating no more than 5% of monthly income to gambling entertainment.
2. Divide Into Session Amounts
Break your monthly budget into smaller daily or weekly session amounts. For example, if your monthly budget is Rp 2,000,000, divide it into 8 weekly sessions of Rp 250,000 each. This prevents depleting your entire bankroll in one losing streak.
3. Follow the 1-5% Per-Bet Rule
Never wager more than 1-5% of your session bankroll on a single bet. If you have Rp 250,000 for a session, individual bets should range between Rp 2,500 (1%) and Rp 12,500 (5%). This ensures you have enough bets to weather variance and gives your winning bets time to compound.
4. Know When to Walk Away After Wins
Set a profit target. Many successful players quit when they double their session bankroll. If you started with Rp 250,000 and reached Rp 500,000, consider ending the session. Continuing to play after significant wins often leads to giving back profits due to overconfidence.
5. Know When to Stop After Losses
Set a maximum loss limit per session, typically 50% of your session bankroll. If you started with Rp 250,000 and dropped to Rp 125,000, stop playing. Never chase losses by increasing bet sizes or depositing more money in hopes of recovering quickly. Tomorrow is another opportunity.
6. Track Your Play History
Use gan88's account history feature to monitor deposits, withdrawals, bets, and results over time. Regular review helps identify patterns, assess whether gambling remains entertainment rather than financial stress, and make informed decisions about adjusting your budget or taking breaks.
Professional Tip: Consider keeping a separate bank account or e-wallet exclusively for gambling funds. Deposit your monthly gambling budget there at the start of each month. This creates a clear boundary between gambling money and living expenses, making budgeting easier and protecting your financial stability.
